Cleaned up my car. Had her shininnnnnnnnnnn... Purring like a kitten. Going to cook out to hang out. Drop by the gas station to pick up a drink. Get back in the car, go to put the car in drive and it won't move. Apparently my safety switch wire got ripped out and contacted some metal and arced.

Needless to say, will be fixing this tomorrow. I had to hold the wire on the terminal while my wife moved my shifter into neutral, then I had to start it up to get home. Just venting

Ha, I see. Yea, I actually saw you and your wife out there looking at the car, but I had no idea if that was you, haha. Maybe we can hit it up again sometime soon. I don't think I'm gonna be here for the next 2 weeks, but I'll be around after that.

My sensor wire has been loose for quite some time. You have to kind of jiggle the shifter a bit while holding in the button to get it to pop out of PARK. I've gotten used to it and don't really mind it much. I tell people that it's my personal anti-theft device since only I seem to know how to minipulate it correctly to get it to shift lol

Nice lol I used to have to beat the dash of my Camaro to get the ignition to work..

My wire broke off the connector and burnt up. So I'm gonna put a new connector on it and put it back on the terminal... I was so pissed. As I'm working on my car, this group of young kids with their pants down around their ass pull up in their ricer Honda and were blasting some bass crap, which just further pissed me off lol

Oh well, **** happens lol

I didn't realize you were in Raleigh, or I would have sent you a PM as well. I thought you were in Charlotte for some reason.

There's lots of tracks around. Dunn-Benson and Piedmont are two relatively close 1/8 mile tracks (DB about 40 minutes from Raleigh, and Piedmont about an hour), while Fayetteville and Rockingham are the closest 1/4 mile tracks (Fayetteville about an hour away, while Rockingham is about an hour 20). Rockingham is one of the nicest tracks on the east coast, as well as one of the fastest. I know that me and some other folks are planning on heading down there sometime later next month. I'll shoot all the Raleigh folks a PM when I know more about it.

Also, a good number of guys have been meeting up at the Cookout off the 40/42 exit (Exit 312) down 40 about 20 minutes on Friday nights. We've had a pretty good time so far, but there probably won't be anyone going this next week or two because of the holiday. Once again, I'll shoot all y'all a note when I know for sure that another one is happening.
