I did paint on mine. Prep was tedious and it lasted about a month before the hot tires tore up the paint. I vote a definate NO to paint.

I know I can’t believe how expensive flooring is! Thanks for the tip on Costco I didn’t know they had flooring for garages!

I wanted a light grey epoxy floor, but with epoxy you have to test for moisture by putting down plastic and see if it gets moisture underneath. Well mine has it so epoxy is out. With epoxy you have to muratic acid etch the concrete and then neutralize it. (Big Job) I have heard bad stories of the paint you get from the local sores like Lowes and Home depot. I was going to use the paint from Griots supply, but not now because of the moisture.
So I heard about Radonseal (radonseal.com) it penetrates 2-4in down and seals the concrete so no moisture comes through or radon gas. Since it is in the concrete I guess it doesn’t peel or lift like paint. They also have a masonry color sealer (Novion) so it seals and paints in one step. You can put their clear on top to make it glossy, or wax it. The colors (36 of them) are translucent though, but they have 4 that are more opaque and that is probably what I will use. I called them and they said I didn’t have to muratic etch the concrete and it will work fine with the moisture I have!! I am going to get some samples and try it first and see how I like it. I’m even going to try the red color.
Has anyone ever used this product or know anything about it??
After it’s sealed I would like to put some Racedeck or the Costco stuff in certain areas.
