Saleen Series IV Blower swap

I recently came across a deal where I could possibly get the blower off a Saleen S281 in a straight across trade for cheap.

He is trading in his car for another Saleen and tentatively wants $1,000 for his Series IV (Whipple / Lysholm) if I give him my intake manifold, etc in a straight across swap.

So, what do you guys think?

I imagine I'd be making 330rwhp - 350rwhp MAX with a safe tune and my current set of mods. My biggest concern is getting it running correctly directly after the swap, and getting the car tuned.

I have a Diablo Predator tuner and most of the local shops use SCT to tune, so I might need to contact RWTD and get a tune over the net. I might be able to pick up a KB Boost-a-pump locally to help with fuel delivery, or have to wait and pick one up online ... or would I need a whole new pump?

Anyone done this ... concerns, problems you think I'll run into ... ? I'd like to eventually step up to a KB 9psi kit when I get a new forged shortblock but that may be a while down the road.

This might hold me over for a while, but wasn't exactly sure what the hidden costs would be to have this run correctly. I figure as much as $500 for custom tuning and perhaps a little less then another $500 for misc parts.

Or am I just totally in the dark and this just plain won't work? heh.

Like I said, I was just a bit worried about getting the car tuned correctly without causing any damage before its looked over by a speed shop ... and more concerned if I was biting off more then I could chew (not so simple take off ... put on swap).

I'll call local shops about that I suppose, but wanted to get some feedback from people if they would do it given the tentative price for the swap. ~350rwhp is cool, but damn 400rwhp is so much better.

I'm at about ~270rwhp now.

As far as the tune, tweecer Rt and a wideband was the best investment I made, but it isn't for everyone. If you just want to get it to a shop to have it tuned, you can drive it on the stock tune, but it will just run rich, just DON'T floor it. These blowers have a bypass, so during normal driving it will be just like your normal intake with 30lb injectors.
