i just put on my saleen rims the other day (see pics in talk).

i drove the car twice and i didnt have this problem. maybe i did, because both other times my windows were rolled up. its only noticable then inside the car.

anyway, the damn front brakes are squeaking progressively louder from 15 mph on. i pulled the wheels off, cleaned mounting surface, rotor surface, brake dust shield isint hitting, weights on wheel arent hitting, no clearance issue whatsoever.

the sound stops completely when the brakes are applied. does this just seem like a coincidence after me putting on new wheels?

the only suggestion/thing that makes sense so far, is that my stock rims didnt let the sound escape. the saleen wheels are more open and the sound is now escaping.

what do you guys think? i swear someone else had this problem before (oxmox?), search isint finding me anything.

I had a similar problem after I put on my new wheels. Same sound. All I did was tightened up the lugs and it went away. Someone else had the same problem to before, You are right about that. I cant think of what was wrong with his though or who it was. I try and search for it.

yes there was a thread about this before. i have that problem also with my DD bulliets the sound started after i put the wheels on. i have no clue what it is either and i also pulled the wheels off to check things out and nothing.

mine is officially not the following:

any interference with the wheel weights, dust shield, wheel, ect. cleaned rotor/wheel mounting surface, spins freely, no lodged rocks, ect. lugs are tight.

ive exhausted everything except new rotors/pads. guess i may as well get those brembo's i was looking at while im at it too :stick:
