Santa Margarita Mustang Show

Well i went today and was unnimpressed with the cars for the most part. a few caught my eye that i didnt expect to see. For instance the 2000 Cobra R with 60 miles on it was a sight to see which made me and my father drool perfusely. also the new saleen truck, who else thinks that looks like a sick truck.. its the wheels... agghhh i want one. well by far my exhaust was the loudest that i heard roll up. there were a few other mustangs that had some keenebell superchargers and vortec kits but none of them had dyno sheets to show... which made me mad. what also made me mad was the GT500 in the showroom that belongs to the one and only Mr. Jay Leno sitting next to the saleen extream supercharged mustang. Both of which were nearly identical in price at 72thousand dollars. except from my friends at ford he got it at below invoice.... can someone explain why you would get an extream saleen instead of a zo6? i mean the mustang is a great car, for the price, but when the price extends into the 70 thousand dollar range i really have to question its value. and when 20,000 dollars seems like an acceptable markup ontop of the gt500... gosh why is america so rich! well at least the show was pretty good for the most part, alot of near stock cars entered tho.. which made me kinda unimpressed. the new s195 gt's were terribly represented and i saw a very limited selection of mods on all the cars. there were the ones with superchargers, or just an intake and plenum cover.. since when is that carshow worthy????

yeah i understand what your saying, but im just alittle shocked at the lack of variety in the modifications done to the mustangs. i just saw a lack of creativity when i come across 4 mustang gt's in a row that well had the exact same setup. i understand that they were supercharged which is a major modification, but when i see a stock Gt with no modificiations sitting next to another gt (all s197's) that has a k&n filter on it. i just really expected some highly modded cars. the modifications were too generic for me. i would feel fine if those cars were entered in the show and there were other cars that featured more modifications, but i only saw maby one or two 05+ Gt's that really had some substantial mods done to them. i think next year i will enter my car if thats the way the automotive market is shifting. which i do believe it is, seeing that there is a huge jump in the sales of aftermarket acessories availible through dealerships at the time of sale across the board for nearly every major manufacturer. It began with Scion and now i think it has led to more vehicle being modified, but with the same parts... haha sorry i would just appreciate more diversity. that is all.
