Is what dry? :)

Oh the track. Looks dry, but on the other hand I don't see that the timing equipment is set up yet. Until then, I'm not going to risk driving down there...

Dave

:D ur a funny man.....

.....i forgot that they have a "track cam" on their website.....

Well it was dry,"the track that is" :D and I was almost the only one there racing except for Jerry. Jordan and warren were cheering me on... lol...it almost worked.. air was cool but I was having traction issues.Although I still managed to improved my time after alot of hot laps "that fluidyne He" really works good :nice: My best time of the night was a 12.081 at 115.63 ..no 11 sec run yet :bang: ... had major traction problems in second gear and sometimes on the launch, best 60' was 1.846....if I could of got another 1.739 ..I probably wood of hit my goal.Well had alot of fun picked up a couple of mph's and improved my time so guess I cant complain to much....and everyone had to leave at 10pm just like me cause they closed early :D

Well, my story was about the same. My first run with street tires was a 15.1, had no traction in first or second, even through third. In the second run I lost a vacuum hose. My third run with street tires was a 13.4, still no traction in first but got second to stick. I got booted for running in the 13's (convertible). So I pleaded to run 1/8th mile and I was permited. I threw the drag radials on and got a 8.3 still spun the tires in first and second, and got booted again. Can't run faster than a 8.6 with a vert! DAMN IT! All in all, I think I can achieve a high 12 if I was permitted to run. But I will never know. Maybe next year I will have a roll cage!

if you need a cage, go to KrazyKoncepts. They made mine custom . Im in Tigard if you wanna see what the cage looks like in a black vert. I opted for swing out arms and powder coating. Plus theyve talked to the tech people at PIR and woodburn so they know what it takes to be legal.
The bonuses of having a cage is you get to have fun, and the car will stiffen right up in handling, as a six point cage blows subframe connectors away. The down side is you lose the back seat.
You will also need to get a Harness if you put a cage in. Found that out, paid $$$ for cage then was turned away because i had no harness.
Email me if you wanna see the cage, im fairly close so you could come over or we could meet somewhere.
