Hey guys I have a 07 GT with a C&L intake and Brenspeed tune. I was wondering if it is extremely important that I follow the scheduled maintenance aside from oil changes obviously. While taking the intake out isn't a huge deal I was just wondering which maintenance services are absolutely necessary? I know my dealer will try to void it because the only thing they were cool with was my Borla axle back and they said unless I used the Ford Power Pack I would void my warranty.

The dealers love to say the void the warranty thing.....in order to void the warranty, something has to happen in which you need to use the warranty, and if they say that something that you installed specifically caused the malfunction to happen. Then the dealer "Ford" has to proove that the mods you installed caused the malfunction. In other words they throw out the voided waranty thing loosely but that have to legally provide the warranty unless the above has been met. So dont stress the warranty thing. This is all from experience too......

Claytucc3 is absolutely correct, and the bottom line is this.. Dealerships can only refuse to service a vehicle under a warranty claim, providing the aftermarket part was directly responsible for causing the warranted parts to fail, in which you would then be required to cover both the repair and replacement costs yourself..However, a dealership cannot refuse to honor any portion of a factory warranty, which is not directly related to the warranted parts in question.. For example, underdrive pulleys cannot cause your shaker 500/1000 to fail ? therefore, the dealership is required to repair or replace the shaker under warranty.. Only Ford itself, has the authority to void their factory warranties.
