going to get my a 97 S10... 4.3L with a stick shift. test drove it this morning and it drives awesome. Just has some cosmetic issues.

drivers side door is sprung and the windshield has some major cracks. other than that the body is decent and it needs new tires. Drives like a champ. Has 140k miles on it, which seems like alot but it was more of traveling work. interior is clean and just a nice truck besides the sprung door haha.

truck is great i am grabbing it for 1500$ taking a 2k loan to get a new door and tires and then a WS. cant wait! should get some better milage than the stang and be a better winter vehicle...

Miami OK lol not FL.

but it has to be better on gas than the stang. stang is averaging around 13 mixed driving.

I can only hope it gets better milage. and gas isnt my real concern Gas is going down in price. Were down to 2.40ish a gallon

I just need a solid truck i can haul stuff in and isnt so loud and snappy. something that will ride a little smoother and just overall more practical.

Expect 16-20 mpg. I had a '96 Blazer and it got around 15 most of the time.

The '95 and older 4.3's were better on gas for some reason.

depends. we usually get a good snow each years. some years it rapes up and we are covered with it all the time.

our problem is tornadoes

Nice dd man, I wish I could find a little truck like that for cheap. I drive my dads jeep a lot but the little 304 sucks on gas to be such a slug lol.

Man gas prices suck though. Still not happy at all. Everyone gets all happy because it's gone down to 2.50 and then 2.50 is the new extreme low for gas prices. Then they jack it up again and repeat the process with 2.75 or so as the new low.

My gf has a '96 4 banger S10....it's a pretty good truck, gets fantastic mileage for a truck...nearly 30mpg! Unfortunately she rear ended someone in the rain a few months back and it's screwed now.

its extremly easy on gas for an out of date v6 (if that makes any sense)
