I just got my car SCT dynotuned and I am happy with the numbers. My performance mods are off-road h, flowmaster, pulleys, and 4.10s basically.

After a couple hours of tuning www.fordpartsnetwork.com got 258rwhp and 296 ft-lbs of torque.

I know there are alot of you guys getting lower numbers with LTs, plenums, and throttle bodies, but it doesn't help much with out a real tune. I am a believer now.

Try an EEC adaptive tune reflash. Big difference! Any modded car needs a tune to get that A/F just right.

JayC nice numbers on the quarter, proven fact you don't necessarily need hp to run good numbers (but hp helps). Also trueblue I have been debating on what tune to go with and wasn't sure if I should just wait until I get my headers and so forth. But I am now convinced after reading up on the SCT tune on getting the SCT dyno tune, there is a shop here that charges around $300 for the whole tune. Plus I can go back when I make changes in the future. Money is always an issue though. That's hella torque with those mods nice. Torque wins those light to light races and among others as well.

That's what, a 35 rwhp gain? Quite a bit for H pipe and pullies. Very nice. I'd like to see what you gain from LTs

I didn't care about a baseline pull. The stock tune probably was crap to begin with. My first pull with a "mail order" SCT tune showed 252rwhp, but the a/f was all over the place. It was mostly 15:1 and dipped down to 12:1 near redline. This was because of the C&L MAF. I swapped in the stock MAF and got 253rwhp at 12:1 all the way across. My tuner then got the curve to 13:1 and played with timing a bit. After a dozen pulls, we ended up with the 258/296.

thanks. so you just tell these guys your mods, and they send you a custom burned chip? doesnt the chip have to be re-burned after every new mod added?

www.fordpartsnetwork.com can send you a custom chip when you send them your mod list. A lot of guys get big gains from the mail order chip, but getting it dynoed is even better. I picked up 6rwhp over the mail order chip by getting it tuned. I wouldn't doubt if I picked up 15rwhp over the stock tune.
