SCT Tune is worth it!

where did you have that done?? is it a new dyno up there. i know a couple of guys that were putting one in and using the sct stuff.
Hey John, do you run an SCT tune? I know the Orlando area (being the home of SCT) has several SCT tuners and I just wondered if you could recommend one. I've only got one here in my area and he doesn't have his own dyno and is very expensive. (He qouted me another $350 for dyno time/tune/reburn - yikes!) I'd like to get a mid pipe on my 02 and then have it tuned again (since I added the plenum and TB without the benefit of another tune - I'm sure they could pull a few more horses out of this mix).

You've got alot more done to your car Ryan then you mentioned. I love the way the car looks and those are some awesome numbers.

I have a long list of mods, but the important power mods are the ones I listed. There is a few mods listed on my site that I don't have anymore like the Densecharger and aluminum flywheel. Suprisingly, I still have the stock clutch (65k miles).

so how much did the entire tune cost you? Did you just have to pay for an hour or two of dyno time or did you have to purchase the sct handheld tuner or a chip as well? I may have to take a ride to St. Augustine soon :nice: Off topic but does anyone know of a good tuner closer to tallahassee?

do these guys have any experiance tuneing a nitrous setup i already have the sct pro racer packedge just want a pro to tune it for me then e-mail me the file to keep and change in the future if my mods warrent it...oh by the way this is david the guy that just bought your old nx kit

What's up David? I don't think he's done a nitrous car yet because he just opened it the other day. I'm sure he can do it, because he starts out with a pre-set SCT tune and goes from there. The only thing that sucks is that it may be hard to completely tune it without emptying the bottle.

BTW, did you get my PM about swapping the shifter bezels?

yeah i think i will have to pass on that sorry just kinda don't like that bullit ring  but anyways i can't wait to get this kit on and then get it tuned...should be a lot of fun....i am going to check with a local tuner first and see what he charges but might check out this shop

I am going to get a tune as soon as i get my exhaust leak fixed(i guess i mean the stud fixed on the passenger side manifold that some dick stripped out) . justin00stang i think is his screen name on the depot should know of a good local tuner.
