First off, did a search, not sur what im looking to hear, just opinions and experience i guess.

so, on a normal h/c/i car, is it worth it to get a SCT chip burned. I have the basics done. Performer 5.0 heads, TFS stage 1 cam, street heat intake, all the other stuff. Now i must say im not looking for huge HP gains, but of course i'll take what i can get. But id like the driveability to be a bit better. idle nicer. no surging and all that crap that most 5.0 cars have lol

anyways what can I expect with a chip? And what should i not get my hopes up over?

My only other concern is that although we have a dynojet available, we dont have a tuner. So i have to go pretty far to have the tune done. I am however VERY confident in the guys skills. Been doing it for years. And i know many people that have had their cars done by him, so i know his talent is there. I just worry about a mail order chip.

So yeah, lets hear what you guys have to say. with a N/A car, is it worth it and what could i expect in results?

I had Jerry himself do my N/A chip.

I picked up 23 rwhp on a friendly dyno and 19 rwhp on a different one.

Better driveability, easier hot starts, and death to the hunting idle!

FWIW I still have that chip, I would sell it cheap.

my chip was done on the dyno. so it was 500 total.

thanks, but id have to get the chip reburned for my mods. excellent results though!

Scott_B,

That is why I went with Tweecer RT, it lets you see your results and make improvements. A WB02 and Tweecer RT with lots and lots of studying and reading. You're going to change it trust me I did.

Good Luck, Don

lol i never said your experience alone wasnt enough. But id like to hear other views as well. no offence at all to you man. your car speaks volumes!

just looking to hear a lil more in depth info. But again, thanks! ;)

Oh and i never said i wasnt gonna get it done either ;)

Oh yeah, i know i'll change it in the future. also right now i have an optimizer which im going to try to dial the car in with on the dyno with the wide band02s. This should tied me over till i get a tune.

as for the tweecer, i have two friends that run them. They love them. But honestly im not sure i trust myself to play with that kinda stuff! lol Im all for learning something, but i feel more comfortable letting an expert do it.

anyone else?
