I gues I just got the full PRP moved from another car to my Mach1. I was wondering if anyone has any input on things that I should change that are simple basics or things to NEVER touch. I dont have enought mods to ned a dyno tune so right now I'd just like to tweak the timing some. But I'm not sure what settings are safe on the Mod v4 4.6

EDIT: Also what is a 2 step rev limiter? My last car didn't support this.

a 2-step rev limiter is for drag race launches. You can dial that into a specific RPM where you launch from. When it's dialed in with the tuner, you can floor the clutch and gas, and the RPM will remain at your 'launch RPM.' Once the car starts rolling (.1 mph), it disengages and goes back to normal. That way you don't have to watch your tach and the light tree at the same time. I think that's what it's called anyway...

You didn't set it in the tune, you have to go into advantage 3 and load the two step value file, otherwise it doesn't know what to do.

So when you say you "guess" you have the PRP....do you, or do you just have an Xcal2??

get a wideband 02 sensor and do some datalogging of the a/f ratio. adjust it to 13.0 under load. you aren't going to be able to increase the timing too much as the car is already tuned for premium gas. but you should be able to add another 2 degrees total timing. there really isn't anything else that's going to get you more power.
