hey guys,
i just got my JLT CAI and SCT2 yesterday and installed them. The JLT sounds great and im really really happy with the power. I got 87 and 91 tunes from jay but cant find any 91 gas by us so i wanna up it to 93. Heres my problem, how do i get to those screens to alter it or do i need the computer wire and need to do it on my computer? i wanna take off the T/C as well, stuff like that. thanks

Right now, you need the PC to do those changes with the XCal 2. The XCal will have that capablity to do it on it's own in the near future.

Just get the cable from a computer store.

isnt it a mini-usb to usb cable? those are like 5 bucks. Also, if its a usb to a usb cable, those are like 5 bucks also.

If you need the cable, you will likely need to contact Jay and get your file changed to the Extreme-tuning software file and have him email it to you.

alright, i have one of those cables, i just wasnt sure if it was a special cable. but what do i do know, do i need Jay to send me a special program to alter all of the settings cause nothing comes up when i plug it in, just finding the USB port and all that, and then it says it cant install the software. help and sorry for all the questions, thanks

you need him to send you the .xrt files for the tunes he sold you. did you not get the CD with your kit? Get the Xtreme tune software here http://www.vmptuning.com/sct/extremetune.zip

mine is just a standard usb the other cable is for wideband

well he never sent me a disc, i wrote him an email. ill get the .xrt files and i downloaded the software direct from SCT. thanks
