Seafoam is essentially petroleum distillates, or the bi-product of refining processes. I doubt that it's homogeneous; probably a mixture of short and long chain hydrocarbons. Where does the carbon go? Just a guess, but after using the product there is a strong, pungent "hydrocarbon" smell (anyone who spent some time in a refinery or O-chem wet lab will know this smell), which leads me to believe that it might get bound to some of the shorter chain hydrocarbons distillates, re-consumed and out the exhaust. The smoke is very thick and probably not all carbon monoxide. Like I said, just an educated guess w/o knowing the exact contents (I doubt the makers can even attest to the exact contents).

I used seafoam for the first time this weekend.. WOW! that stuff is teh ****! My motor feels so much better now

Car was on 59,950 miles when I seafoamed it. Put it thru the PCV valve... had a nice smoke show too

i dont have to be concerned with anything when using this being i have over 80k on my clock? i am really thinkin about picking some up. in theory there will prob be a lot of buildup

can someone ease my anxiety? or should i not do it?

You should wait until it is warmer outside and then do it when your neighbors are out on the street.

No problems here, and I had approx 195,000 on my car when I did it. Don't fret it. It'll make your car feel goooooooooooood. Kinda like it just had a machine bath

If the cops do indeed stop you, tell them that you're cleaning your car's engine out so that it won't dump as much bad stuff into the air through the exhaust in the future to come. Maybe they'll let you go.

Safe to use for all gas engines?

I know this has been beaten over like a dead horse, but is seafoam really safe to use in the oil, injection, gas, etc ? According to their website you can almost drink the stuff

I have a honda lawn mower that runs kinda flaky, is it OK to put in that too ?
