Ok I've searched and searched but couldn't find a difinitive answer!
What year of water pump from another ford vehicle will work on my 86-93 timing cover that is standard rotation (clockwise)? I'am replacing the reverse rotation because I will only be running the alternator, carnk and water pump pulleys.
I went to the parts store but they were little help.
Can I use Ford Racing # M-8501-G351 ? It says it is for v-belt applications. Will it work serpentine? It says:
Standard rotation V-belt aluminum water pump for 5.0L/5.8L engines
Standard shaft and bearing with stamped impeller
Provides good flow and pressure for engines that operate below 6000 RPM
Can be used with M-6059-D351 timing chain cover or stock V-belt timing cover
