My neighbor has a 86 with black tweed seats. He redid them and they look great. My convertible also has black seats but the black is not the same. Mine are more grayish in the cloth area. Are mine severely faded or are there 2 different blacks between the years?

The TMI tweed is a "close" reproduction of the OEM tweed but is not the same. The TMI Black tweed is 100%black vs. the OEM black tweed is almost black and in most cases looks faded up next to the vinyl edges of the seats.
I personally like the TMI black better than the OEM.
