I've been in the market for a new vehicle for about 2 months now, and just today I noticed a 94 V6 Mustang at one of the local used car dealers not far from my home. I started the car up and just listened to the engine, as it was the first time the car was running in about two weeks, the rev started off at about 1500 RPMs and then dropped to about 1000. The panel reads 151,000 kilometers but the dealer says that there's a new engine put in it that only has about 58,000 on it (I'm not sure I believe him, but that's not what I'm posting about). What I'm asking an opinion about is actaully one of the pullies. The pulley closest to the passenger side seems to spin with the rest, and then stop for 15-20 seconds before starting up again, there's a smaller pulley below it that does the same thing. I'm pretty sure it's the AC pulley, but as I'm not familiar with these cars, I'm not 100% sure. The dealer says he'll get the car inspected and have anything that needs fixing done and included into the price of $3500 Canadian everything included (taxes, transfer, inspection, etc.). The car is in pretty good shape on the inside, the ashtray shows that it was indeed smoked in, but I couldn't find any burn holes or stains. The exterior hardly shows the age of the car as there's the expected chips in the front from highway driving and just a small chip over the driver side rear quarter panel. No visible signs of rust, and from the chip over the rear panel, the car was never painted. If anyone can tell me what those pulleys are powering, and how serious the problem is to have them ficed, or the cost of getting them fixed (I'll get the cost taken off the sale price), as well as if the price he's asking is reasonable for this car, I'd really appreciate it, thanks guys.

OK, I guess we see why your considering to get a mustang... Maybe if you figured that you'd have a dozen replies then maybe you can figure all of that stuff yourself.
