Sell my 86GT and buy an SN95?

I'll start off by saying I love my 86GT, it's been a solid reliable car for the last 6 years. Recently, however, I've been toying with the idea of buying a 94/95 GT or Cobra. My main reason is to have a nicer DD. A car that rides smoother, better brakes, quieter interior, better stereo, etc.

Has anyone else done this, if so what are your thoughts? Are the SN95's that much nicer, and slower? I've done a search and still haven't decided whether or not giving up the 86 would be a good idea.

BTW--I've already got three cars, I don't want to have 4. That's why I'm having this debate.

Honest opinions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeremiah

Edit: I plan on keeping the SSP notch, so I'll still have a four-eyed fox to drive, just not as a DD.

For the purposes of daily driving, I would have to agree with your decision. Personally, I have had Foxes and SN95's (although never a 5.0 SN95) as daily drivers. While I am more of a fan of the foxes, I have liked the SN95 better as a driver. More comfortable, better brakes, suspension, etc. They also have less of the "piss you off" quirks, such as noise, leaning seats, vent air that smells, door handles that break, etc. I don't mind fixing or dealing with any of those things for a car that only gets driven every so often, but on a daily driver it's a hassle. Plus, I have more appreciation for the fox when I get to drive it.

Heres my take, I've had 7 stangs, first 4 were Foxes, then I got a 95 GT. Wow what a difference in handling/braking etc. Later I had a 04 GT and that rode/drove the best by far. Then I got sick of the nice smooth ride with ABS etc etc,,, I missed the rawness of the Fox. So now I'm back to a 86.
DD=SN95 and up,,, pure Stang rawness= 93 down.
