I have 18X9 and 18X10.5 Cobra wheels, and I was originally going to get some 285/35/18, and 265/35/18, but
I start to think may look funny on 10.5" rim(and not to mention i'll have no rim protection from curve).

So I'm thinking 295 now. Everyone here will tell me that I should just get 315, but I don't even want to think about driving in rain with 315.

So what you guys think i should do? Money is tight, so please don't tell me tire that is like 500 bucks each

ANd does anyone have any experience with these?

Well man, no offense, but if money is that tight then 18x10.5 was a bad idea... But regardless, I'm not here to bash on your decision. They're going to look sweet when you get them on! :nice:

I'd say you're right though, 295 is minimum for a 10.5" wheel. I've got 10" wheels going on the back of mine soon and the minimum I'm putting on them is 285. The only problem you're going to run into is that the number of cheaper tire choices in 295 drops pretty dramatically from 275-285. Those AVS Sports are good tires from what I've heard/read, but the treadlife is pretty low... 15-20k miles max. The only reason I even splurged for 10 inchers for the rear was because of Nittos 285 NT555... which will last 25-30k and are cheaper than most. Your other choices for tires are pretty meek, goodyear, michelin, bridgestone, bfg, etc... All expensive with pretty bad tread life.

Whatever you end of choosing, can't wait to see them on! :nice:

well, 10.5 thing was bad dicision. It was on the E-bay, and I got these bad boys for $550 shipped. Must say that is some deal tho. I ogiginally had decent amount of money stashed away for tires, which I was going to get in march or so, But with this killer weather, and I moved and my GF needed to go ER and stuff, I had no choice but to use some of my tire fund. i figure I could still spend
up to about $1000 or so, so it seem that AVS is decent choice for that money. I wasnted to get NT555, since I had pretty good luck with them on my MR2 and Cougar, with tread life and grip, but Nt 555 don't have size I want.

AVS certenly look nice. but tread wear seem pretty bad tho...

Yea, its definately a sweet deal. Thats exactly how much I paid for my bullitts. I wasn't really looking for an 18x10 wheel until I found them for that price. So I'm sort of in the same boat as you are.

You can always get the AVS for the rear and then get some NT555s for the front so they'll last longer. At least that way you'll only be replacing the rears every year or so and you'll get more life out of the fronts.
