looking to replace my belt, im checking it out on 50resto.com but what is the difference between

JK6932 1982-04 Motorcraft Serpentine Belt (1982-87 5.0L w/ Dealer A/C) 37.95

&

JK6916B 1982-04 Motorcraft Serpentine Belt (1982-87 5.0L w/ Factory A/C) 32.95

i am the 2nd owner of a compeltly stock 87 gt - which belt is for me?

i think some of the early foxes had dealer add-on a/c. hence the listing.

why not hit the parts store?

I found it online but don't remember where but the codes on the inside of the door tell you what the factory color, engine, options ect ect...you could probably even call Ford to decifer...if it's factory it will be on there if it's not then it's dealer. Sorry I don't remember the site.....I'll dig threw my stuff at home tonight in case you don't get the answer before then.

This same issue arose when i went to the Zone to get a serp. belt, they asked factory installed or dealer installed, i dont believe it has anything to do with Ac because he asked me that before....

I dunno, i got the factory installed, and seems to fit fine.

Yeah, I had same question come up at Advance Auto Parts a month ago when I went in for a new belt. The guy there said he had never seen/heard of a dealer installed A/C on a Mustang.

So, best bet if you have A/C would be factory installed when shopping for a belt. Or, to be safe, get both locally at a part store with a friendly return policy. :-)
