serpentine belt

hey guys since i put the underdrive pulleys in my car whenever i start it up the belt will scream for a couple seconds afterwards and when i give it alot of gas or make turns it will sometimes scream too anone know what i can do to fix this? the belt is new it came with the pulleys

Well first find out which pully the noise is comming from. Then you can figure out whats wrong from there.

Look closely at the tensioner - there is a small arrow that points to an area marked "range". The arrow should be about in the middle of the "range". My guess is that the belt is a bit too long, and the tensioner isn't putting enough tension on the belt causing it to slip on start up. You may need a different length (slightly shorter) belt. How long is the belt they supplied? What is the part number on the belt?

agreed, the belt is too loose

cool i think thats what the problem is going to be i went and looked at it and the belt does seem to be loose do you think the stock belt will fit on there or should i get a new one?

What's the part number on the belt? You need a shorter one - we can probably tell you what length you have if you'll tell us the part number.
