serpentine pulleys and mas air on an SVO?

Just wondering if this has been done before. I'm sure it has, anyway I wanted to know what parts were used and if somebody makes underdrive pulleys for the 4 cyls. Also, do the mas airs hook up without computers on turbo cars. I want the info for future referance.

Yes serpentine belts have been done. Use any 87 and later T-Bird or Mustang brackets and pulleys.

No underdrive pullies are made. There really isn't much call for them

I don't understand your last question? Hooking up a MAF without a computer?
MAF has been done, it's not a direct swap by any means, but it's been done successfully and often.
 
The SVOs don't use a mass air meter, they have a Vane Air Meter. It measures the volume of air based on how far a flap opens in the sensor housing. A mass air meter gages the mass of air entering the engine based on the cooling effect of the intake air flowing over a thermistor.

It is the EEC's only way(in this case) to know how much air is entering the engine. There is no need for air metering on anything but a fuel injected engine. FYI, all the "electronic" devices under the hood are tied into the EEC.

I'm speaking purely as a novice. The car is currently a shell and I have parts from several others to complete it. I wouldn't change over a complete original SVO, but for this one, I figured anything I do will be better than it sits now.
 
I wasn't trying to discourage, just curious. I agree; a running SVO is better than a shell or going to the crusher, definitely.

V-belts aren't really an issue regarding power, but at really high rpm they can occasionally get thrown if the alignment isn't perfect. They are slightly less efficient than serpentine, but if a serpentine breaks, you've lost all accessory/water pump drive. The v-belt setup is redundant and runs two belts around the alternator and water pump.......but neither belt style are prone to breaking, so it's really a matter of personal preference.

The good thing about these 2.3Ts is you don't have to spin them real to make lots of power.
 
I've got 2 GT projects, then I'll get to the SVO, or I might do alittle to each.
I've got a stipped down early 84 SVO with slappers and I've got a running 240 hp 86 that's been totaled out, plus parts from a totaled 85. Someday I hope to get it all together.
