Damn straight, You never want poly mounts unless you are going racing and not worried about vibration
Used to run solid (steel) mounts in an old 69 Camaro. Could hardly drive the car on the street
I have urethane engine mounts, urethane transmission mount, and urethane transmission crossmember mounts and have little to no NVH in either of my cars. If it's done right i.e. balanced and aligned then you can run motor plates and drive it on the street and not have much vibration.
update on the new mount?
I installed my brand new transmission and it didnt change anything. Next step for me i think i want to buy a 3rd flywheel maybe more expensive and see if that does anything and if that dont help, i will try a oem bellhousing. Let me know if it helped with that oem rubber transmission mount

I have finally fixed my problem. I had bought the LUK flywheel from Rockauto and it was not correct somehow. It said 28oz but when i swapped to another brand the vibration stopped. Make sure you dont have a LUK flywheel

We had a Taurus under base warranty, not my ticket but we all got involved. It vibrated so bad at freeway speed; it would shake your fillings out. They did everything, balanced the tires, replaced the CV joints and wheel bearings, they even had the trans guy R&R the trans and replace the final drive bearings. That's when they gave it to me (the alignment guy). I drove it and told the tech to balance the tires again. He squawked but we both went and did it. The LF tire was only .25 oz. out of balance. I told him to spin it again, it was 4 ounces out, we spun it again and it was 3 ounces out. I told him to break down the tire and lets see. Damn thing was full of three cans of fix a flat.
Been down for a while, problem still there. Glad Nicolaj got problem fixed with new flywheel. That's not my problem since I never changed flywheel and no vibration with old flywheel and tranny removed

After 2-3 months of research and maybe 20 emails to MDL I have found out the many things that could cause this. You still never replied to me if it helped when you jacked up the rear of the transmission. Did you make sure the transmission mount bolts is not touching the transmission crossmember? Also like other people suggested i had my transmission out and painted the whole tunnel and then mounted the trans back into the car. Only to take it out once again and look if the transmission had scraped off any of the fresh paint.
Nicolaj: I replaced poly tranny mount with rubber mount, no difference. getting ready to try new motor mounts. can't find any place tranny touching frame or body even after enlarging shifter hole. If motor mounts don't help, will pull tranny again to see if mechanic was right about no vibration with tranny removed. A friend has another t5 I could stick back in just to make sure tranny is good
my mechanic said pilot bushing was ok, I'm beginning to think it could be pilot bushing because another mechanic removed tranny and said pilot bushing came out with tranny. That should not happen, maybe bushing worn out and banging against input shaft?

I have lost orientation on what you have tried to do and what not. But you still havent told me if the car vibrates when you jack up the car. It takes only 10 minutes loosen the two bolts and check. I have read about 100 forums post when trying to diagnose my issue. Can you tell me what part number your flywheel is? Or did you use the same flywheel as before? If it also vibrates when you press down the clutch then I really dont think its the pilot bearing. I had the transmission mounted back on the car but without the clutch and pressureplate just to try and find the issue. Still vibrated. That told me it wouldnt be the transmission. Still ordered a brand new T5 but didnt work. Then bought a different brand flywheel and it worked.
