anyone able to tell me what the AUX button on the shaker500 head unit is for? I read the owners manual and it don't tell u nothing other than that its for auxillary media devices. Great, even if I had them where would I connect them? No jacks in G/box, or in console. Just don't get it. It's an 05GT w/Shaker 500 head unit.

I want to say its a add-on for Sat. Radio. But I might be wrong.

you can get a part that allows you to had, sat radio, I-pod, or a reg aux input. you can actually get it at most ford delears but it is cheaper to use aftermarket. Periperal is a company that makes the part.

Peripheral dont make jack . WE (PAC)make the piece and sell to them, but anyhoo, you need the AuxBox2 and ABFRD-24 cable for a aux in or for iPod you need the IPAC-OEM2 and AB-FRD24 CABLE.Either of those will give you a aux in or iPod control form the stereo without loss of sound like a fm modulator.

Just so you know, the part has recently been discontinued due to communication issues with the Ford can-bus radio.
