Has anyone ever heard of a Shaker Hood on a Fox before? And, if so, how do you think it would look? I am thinking of putting one on my 93 Notch if I ever go to a 302 or 351 Windsor and was just wondering if it would look stupid or not cause I have ALWAYS loved a Shaker on a muscle car.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

PS-if anyone has a pic of this, PLEASE post it.

Banshee Performance used to make a kit, but the website has been down for several months - I think they went under. The kit only fit on a stock 5.0 with stock intake manifold, although you might be able to modify it to work on something else.

The only thing I would have liked to be diffferent was for it to be a copy of the old/new Mach 1 - instead it was a smaller smooth plastic scoop. But seeing that it came out way before the new Mach 1 was even a glimmer in Fords eye, there were problably legal issues with making a copy of the old Mach scoop - not to mention the cost of cast aluminum compared to molded plastic.

I had it on my 1991 when I sold it, but the guy who bought it took it off when he changed the motor. Here's what it used to look like:

Thank you SO much for the pics and info. Yeah, I was thinking about the larger Mach style as well, but it is for the future. If anyone else has a pic of a Fox that has been modified with a Mach or larger style Shaker, Please post away.

Thanks,
Mark

I know you asked for a fox, but I love my Mach shaker so much I figured I let you know, click on my link to see pics I love it, turns heads every day. It was the car kraft kit. I'm sure a fox would look just as cool with this scoop!

Making my own.

You can see how much of a cowl I created. The front edge of the scoop opening is touching the factory bracing. The rear raised about an inch. The bracing shown will be cut out when I go to figure out how to connect my scoop to the upper intake and plan the ducting to air box.
