i have a 95mustang gt with 302 v8 and im lookin to buy a shaker hood scoop or something like that. I have looked everywhere and i have not been able to find one for my year. is this because of a different throttle body position or something. my car also seems to hesitate when i reach about 4000 to 5000rpms while i am driving. it also has a rough idle and sometimes stalls while its is stoped.
thanks

I see that this is your first post, so welcome to Stangnet!
About the shaker; 5.0 Mustang magazine had an article about one. It seems like it was about last year sometime that the story ran. I'll look through my magazine library and see if I can get the month for you. It was a nice looking install, but it seems like it was rather pricey. I can't remember who it was that was producing it either (damn stoopid old brain!! :rlaugh: :rlaugh: ). I'll try to find it and get back to you on it.... Phil

IIRC they dont make them for our cars, but SOMEONE makes them for the fox 5.0's and you can get them to work with some modification, BUT you also have to use the stock intake and it provides hardly any power gains. But damn does it look cool. :)

it was Classic Design Concepts that makes or did make them. They were only around for a couple months because you needed to have the stock intake which is a huge piece of crap.

try ebay/classifieds. they were over a grand for the kit, which is too pricey IMO for what you get.

as far as your idle problems, try cleaning out your mass air

Yep, Prokiller is correct. Classic Design Concepts is the company. They had the write-up I mentioned earlier in the 5.0 Mustang and Fast Fords magazine in november 2004. They said it would cost about $795. They don't list it on their website anymore, but they have the ones for the modular motored Mustangs. You might check with them to see if they still have some that might be for sale. It seems kinda steep, but it might be worth it if it's the look that you're going for.
