i can't get that to pull up, maybe my computer but i have had no trouble looking at anything else

The link works, it's to a pdf (adobe acrobat) document. Do you have adobe reader? It's available for free online if not. Just do a google search for the free download. That should take care of it.

Tony Branda's ((814) 942-1869) catalog has the diagram in the back. Also, Cobra Automotive has steel plate templates for a min. cost. Worth a few dollars not to screw it up.

I just took a look at both the template in the Tony Branda Catalog and the metal templates I bought from Cobra Automotive. Cobra's template holes are almost twice as far apart as the diagram above. I have an e-mail into Cobra Automotive to answer this as I am in the process of doing this modifictaion myself.

P.S. The diagram in Brandas catalog says its Actual Size.

Hold the template(s) up to your car's inner shock tower. A short amount of the bolts from the upper control arm should protrude through the nuts. You should be able to drop the template over the ends of the bolts while everything's still in the car.

That should reassure you that all is fine, or eliminate the wrong template.

Also, a 2" drop is recommended by some people. You CAN'T do the 2" drop without additional modifications to the upper control arm. The upper ball joint will bind!!

I heard from Cobra Automotive this morning (6 am ) there metal templates with a 1 3/4" drop are only to be used with their modified upper control arms. So if your using the stock upper arms, go with the 1" drop from the template above.
