I have a totally stock 94 GT. I got beat by a Honda CRX today. Needless to say i was very upset. In the near future i plan to get the PI stallion stall converter, 4.10's, and a trany cooler. My question is what kind of cheap and effecive trany mods for my aode can i make? I plan to get a shift kit, but i had heard that the Transgo shift is not very good. Any suggestions

Thankyou very much

You dont want cheap. You need GEARS first (I would get 373's but some would tell you here 410's.) THe PI Stallion is fine, and the tranny cooler is fine. I have a PA shift kit, but the Transgo is by far the top recommended one for our cars. That's ALL you "need" for now. The rest is only when youre pushing high HP or your stock one is acting up. The gears and those tranny mods YOU mentioned will make you pull like a MOFO!

I've had my Transgo shift kit in for a couple of months now, and I have absolutely no complaints about it. I did new gears at the same time, and it was like a whole new car. Nice firm shifts. Plus after that I am able to bark the tires on the 1 - 2 shift at WOT.

I've had the TransGo in for over a year also - no probs at all - very pleased. I have mine set up for stage 2 out of the three possible choices. I think this is good if you drive your car in the rain, or god forbid the snow, because the shifts will kick to hard and throw your car sideways. Stage two will still give you a chirp at WOT for the 1-2 shift. Hope this helps......

I've heard you can by the valve body's pre assembled with the shift kit and then you just have to switch valve bodys instead of installing the whole shift kit yourself. Anyone does this before?
