This is for you guys running the steeda Tri-Ax. How hard is it for you guys to get the thing into gear. For some reason sometimes I have to put all my strength into getting it in gear, and sometimes it will just go right in. Is this what is meant by the shifter being notchy that I kept hearing about with the Tri-Ax. Getting it into 5th gear isn't even possible half the time. When I get this thing on the road I don't want to have to spend 5 minutes at every light trying to get the tranny into gear.

i have a tri-ax and it feels real notchy too. And ive had it for over a year. My transmission is a brand new WC. It has problems going into third, or i suck at it maybe. It sure seemed like it was easier to shifft with the stock shifter for some reason. Also sometimes when i go to pull it out of gear it kinda acts as if it the fork or shift rail was sticking or something. Maybe tri-ax's suck.

Well I have a Tri-Ax in my '90 GT that works flawlessly everytime in every gear and has for over 30,000 miles. I highly doubt the problem is the shifter. Mine is still a little notchy but not too bad. It's a trait of the shifter. I can shift fast enough that the syncho's can't match the gear shift speed with it and not miss a gear.

You should check this page out. Particularly the top 2 diagnosis boxes about 1/2 way down the page.
