Ok my first car was a 94 GT with full exhaust, 3.73's and a Pro 5.0 shifter...and i had it for about 3 1/2 months and my mom drove it for the 2nd time ever on a rainy night and she hit a telephone pole and totaled it...so with the insurance money i got a 1995 Firebird Formula that was stock other than a CAI, so i put better plugs, wires, shifter, gears(4.10s) and built the rearend alittle and the finishing touch was 150shot Dry NOS kit...i havent dynoed because the bottle hasnt been filled yet(scared kinda) but most ppl tell me it should make around 415-425rwhp and 440-460 rwtq...right now the tranny is messed up it grinds going into 5th and Reverse, like sometimes it takes playing with the shifter and clutch a minute to even get it to go in...thats really the only major problem im sure its not anything major, maybe bent shift forks or synchros are bad idk... but anywayz my point is i miss my mustang after only 2-3 months without it, albeit this car is tons faster, but heres the thing i really miss that mustang sound and feel while sitting behind the wheel of one...so im thinkin about mid to late february to begin looking for a 1996-1998 Cobra...as ive heard they respond somewhat well to bolt ons, and they are solid motors...capable of handling 450rwhp(which is wat im hoping for) heres my plan for it first Full Exhaust:Full Length Headers, Hpipe, Catback not sure what kinds yet just know thats first for me, then Its getting procharged with around 8-10lbs of boost...all this would be achieved by the end of 07 if i do indeed get one....firstly do you guys think i should go the Cobra route or stick with the Firebird....?

Get the cobra. Better car all around and NOS is just too violent IMO for a power adder.

The 450# you see is a tough one...450 is pushing the limits of the stock 96-98 internals. I would bet you could safely see 415-430.

Here is what I would do...

full exhaust
SCT
390's or 410's with the blower....430's n/a
JLT cai (n/a) or an AFM powerpipe
better clutch and a better flywheel with a TKO or something similar...
Blower making 8-10 psi
Injectors (42#)
Bigger MAF (80mm is good for a blower.
Bigger TB (oval blade is my favorite).

With that you will make good power and handle that Firebird :)

Thanx man that really helps...so 3.73's arent really worth it?
