Sorry, no pics yet.... but it is hott. It's a 2004 CBR 954. Titanium & black. 4,000 miles. It's my friend's & he wants $7,000 for it. (payoff + $1K) I always wanted a bike... and fuel injection is nice on one.

if it is your first bike go with something smaller...but if not those are badazz and I say go for it just remember to respect the power of the bike and don't drive it like an idiot on the street...that crap is reserved for the tracks...

Even then it can be dangerous. I've seen a few guys crash their bikes at the track. One guy couldn't launch his right, the front came up too far, and he fell off the back and skidded for about 200 ft. The bike kept going all the way to the 1/8 mile marker, and he crashed right after coming out of the hole, lol.

A 954 is too big for you. Especially since you said you haven't owned a bike before. You could possibly learn and drive on it alright, but unlike other bikes such as the sv650, your mistakes will hurt you more. These new sport bikes aren't forgiving.

get a R6 or F4i for your first bike. you will be glad you did. trust me.

I know 750+ cc bikes are near the same as 600 but you dont want to start off on anything bigger then 600.

Yeah, I'm serious. It would be my first bike, other than a Kawasaki enduro I used to ride alot. (size?, but it was HUGE)

Out of like a ton of people I've asked...... they all say the same thing..... it's too big for me. I'm like 5'8" & 160 lbs. and I don't have alot of riding experience. I guess I'll have to take heed and get something a little smaller. I've been thinkin' about the R6.... anyone else have one of these? I don't really like the F4's.... but I've never really liked Honda's until I seen this 954.

yeah, your about the same size as I am, i'm a little taller, that bike would kill you, for a first bike, buy something older and cheap! Cheap because you will go down, and if you go down on a 7k bike you will be PISSED. Its better to get something that won't break the bank to fix if something happens...

The gs500 and ninja500 R are both great beginner bikes. And don't worry about speed, it comes with time, and these bikes are not slugs...

We're exactly the same size. I've been on an cbr600, F4i, gixxer 750 and an R6. I like the R6 better, it seems sportier and more agile. But the F4i is much more comfy and is almost the same as the R6 in every other category. For your first bike, I would go for the F4i. Don't be alarmed when the tranny clunks going into first though, most Honda's do that.

I personally have a VTX 1300 cruiser. I think it would make a great first bike, the center of gravity is about 7 inches from the ground. Sport bikes are cool, but there's nothin like a big azz V-twin with straight pipes.

A friend of mine got a modded GXXR 1000 for a first bike. We all thought he was gonna kill himself. But he has been just fine.

I really like the gxxr750's.
