Man this kid has too much money on his hands. The real problem here is not the little imperfections the sweet coupe of his has but that he got bored of dumping his daddy’s money on the coupe, when he was half way the built. And now he wants a newly fresh canvas to dump more of daddy’s hard earned money on another mustang because he got bored and don’t know where to spend his daddy’s money anymore. Guys don’t lose ur time telling him not to sell the coupe bc I have seen so many try to convince him for months not to but he’s made his mind up, and that coupe will never be perfect enough for him. Kid honestly if my hatchback was just a little bit better looking than what it looks like, I would swap cars with u in a heart beat and rip u off bad , seriously bc u got one sweet looking and tastefully modded coupe that every one here would be happy to own but u of course. On last thing before I forget, Im going to give only one last advise kid , when u do trade ur coupe for a stock-ish hatchback bc I know u will, try getting a job at ur local Winston-Salem mcd’s like every other kid ur age and try modding the stang with the money u earn there and not with ur daddy’s money, u may learn something. Stop being a so naïve and such a cry baby. That my friends is what happens when ur born with a silver spoon in your damn mouth. After all I've said if ur still interested in trading with me, pm me as I am from nc as well

Do you know, when you use terrible grammar, people think you're stupid.

Do you know anything about this kid?

He actually built that car... I'm not sure you should pass judgement on him.

Oh, and you're a dick. Only 12 posts and you pull this already?

I bought the car for $200 and it's just turned into a long, drawn out budget build. Right now the car is a complete roller, but it's hard to do stuff to it when trying to stick to my original $2500 budget.

If it's really who I think it is, he was interested in trying to buy my car a while ago. I let him drive my car, talked with him a little, seemed like a decent guy. Just lowballed me. I was nice and polite to him, and he was too.

And I appreciate the compliment!

WTF. How about I tell YOU something. Every mod that I have done to the coupe during the 2 years I have had it has been paid for BY ME, with the exception of the front tires. I WORKED my ass off for my dad at his tire shop doing tires and oil changes, plus shop maintainence for 3 years SOLID before I could come up with the money to build the car the way I wanted to build it, with MY money. I work AT LEAST 45 hours a week during the summer time so I can pay for whatever I want to, BY MYSELF, and almost every saturday while school is in session. Silver spoon in my mouth.. BS. I will admit that my family is on the "fortunate side", but they got that way by WORKING, not by one member of the family getting rich and having the rest of the family mooch off of one person. Every member of my family works a regular job, no stay at home trophy wife BS. My mom probably works harder than my dad. They both know the fundamentals of how to raise a kid up the right way. I just hope that one day I can make them happy, so I work hard in school and at home to make sure that I can follow in their footsteps, as RESPECTABLE, HONEST HUMAN BEINGS. I make $7 an hour, less than minimum wage, because my parents knows how to raise a kid up the RIGHT WAY. Start them off at the very bottom, and reward them a little bit as they mature. Let's see here... $7 an hour x 45 hours a week, for 12 weeks during the summer, plus about 7 hours a week for the other 44 weeks of the year. That = 5936 a year, not counting doing yard work at my house, detailing cars, and other little stuff like that. I think that's plenty to pay for a little HCI coupe. 5936 is just one year. I have been working for 3 years, so I'm not some dumbass who pours every penny he makes into his car. I have saved the rest of the money for my FUTURE, NOT just some damn car. Also, i'm smart enough to realize that it's stupid to build a car rather than buy one already built, especially when you have a FAMILY that needs to be provided for like you do. That's why I built one while I was still living at home with ZERO expenses instead of waiting until i'm in my mid 30's and have a midlife crisis where I decide to blow all of my money on a car, while my family suffers the consequences of my stupidity. I already got my stupid money blowing out of my system. I could sit here and type and type all day, but it won't change your mind about how you think of me, or my "daddy built" car.

To everyone else, I appreciate your opinions, I will be NOT BE TRADING, and I will be keeping my coupe.

Well said.

IDK where dude came from, or if he knows you, but he has a serious axe to grind w/ you starting w/ post #12.

You kinda set yourself up for that one though, because it's really a no brainer. No reason on earth to ask publicly whether or not you should trade down.

I'll have to admit, you change wheels like most people change undies.
(well, except wythors, he will never change his mustang undies)
It kinda seems like you have too many cars, and too many ""mounted" wheel/tire combos for somebody who makes 7.00 an hour. But w/ no expenses, no cost of living, and nothing to do except spend my money on my car, I'd have a couple of sets of wheels as well.

But Hey, nuff said. I've read your build thread, and I believe you did all your own work w/ the money you earned.

Slow, Your hatch build has been great, but is a budget build. Your Coupe is a awsome looking car. I am an old fart and have expenses family mortage etc... I still find the ways to slowly build what I want. If it comes down to it and you did want to trade for a dirty hatch with crappy headlights no one on here can change your mind. You have to be happy with what your building. I would love to have your coupe and the mods you have done to it. I hope you continue to build your projects and share with us old farts. I personally take pleasure in knowing a younger generation of Fox Body's is alive and well. I will get off the soap box.

And by the way don't let that Dumb, ignorant, singlewide livin, person bother you he will hook his house up to his fictisious mustang and move on soon enough.

I really appreciate you guys "backing me up". I know that in that rant post I came across as quite the douche, but hey, he was a douche to me. And madmike, yes I do have a little wheel problem... some people call it my fetish. Who knows, they could be right! And I definately respect you for your amazing work on that coupe of yours! And 1989Droptop, I wll try to update my threads whenever I make some more progress... but no progress recently on anything!

Look kid I’m not trying to pick a fight with over some stupid thread/idea I came upon on an enthusiasts forum but rather make u see or lets say……help u realize a couple of things, such as trading ur modded car for a stock(which u may say that’s non of ur business and ur 100% right but u asked for personal opinion and I gave u my bs-free opinion) , where u were going to end up getting f@cked really bad by the other owner involve in the swap. But Ill admit this to u, the whole idea of calling u out like that ,was to let u see that everybody that has read ur built thread and knows u, pretty much thinks of u the same way I expressed on that particular post I made(born with a silver spoon on ur mouth). Bc u have spend so much money on ur sweet looking car(I got to admit its one good looking car ), which u pretty much built on ur own from the ground up with the exception of the engine. And all of a sudden before ur done with it, u lose interest and want to sell, it just doesn’t seem logical to me, something doesn’t click. Another thing man(see that, i didn’t call u a kid anymore) Im not in a midlife crisis like u said(I don’t know man but I think u might have offended some of the other member with this one, I doubt it since every one here has blue blood running through they’re veins) as I’m only 23. But Seriously if u what people to stop thinking of u as a spoil little f@ck, stop being the boss’s kid around work and get a job, a real job somewhere else, away from dad. As I‘ve work with many kids like u over the time frame of summer break and I can assure u, they don’t get treaded as normal workers. People try to pamper the boss’s kid as much as possible bc what if he gets hurt, or what if I hurt the kids feelings. One last thing I never said ur family never worked hard to be where they are position at now, what i did say was, u haven’t work hard enough to earn ur money or else u wouldn’t be so easy on selling ur precious little jewel of a car, bc when u work hard enough and I mean hard, so hard that ur ass gets sweaty for something, u tend to appreciate it more, something u obviously seem lack. Look don’t get me wrong, u sound like a cool f@cking kid man, but that’s just how a see things, I’m not going to bs u around like the other guys. If u don’t want the car any more u’ll be better off selling than trading. Good luck with what ever u do with the notch, ur money not mine. Hope I might have showed u a different perspective of life and people.

Well he said he works for his dad at a tire shop doing oil changes and stuff.. so I am guessing he gets tires and wheels pretty cheap haha. That could explain so many wheel and tire combos

The only thing I can't do is get another job. My dad and grandpa both worked together and built up their business together, and I intend to do the same thing with my dad. And the midlife crisis thing wasn't aimed at you, just an example of what most guys do..

man i just gave him my most honest opinion on his issue. I have read his built thread before and i knew how often he changed his wheels. All the goodies he bought for the car, the problems he had with the machine shop and his edelbrock heads. Dont think i just randomly posted on this thread. I knew exactly which member it was. I just tried to wake/shake him up a bit by bashing on him a little, If u guys want to bs him go ahead Im not, the idea of swapping modded for stock was stupid. All i tried doing was telling him that was a bad idea, i knew that if he really worked hard for his car he would jump back at me and he did. The same message just different strategy. If I don’t post a lot is bc I do a lot of reading.

What a tool. Anyways, keep the coupe man. Concentrate on getting that quarter fixed. I really enjoy your progress thread on the coupe and hatch. By now that coupe has got to have some sentimental value.

Maybe you are filled with so much hatred for this kid because you yourself are a loser and judging by the way you type you barely have a GED. Get over it, nobody cares what you think here. If the kids parents helped him, who cares, he said he worked for it, good for him. He's also doing all the work himself and has his dads shop to build the car in. Is that wrong too? Should he buy his own tools cause thats what real men do? I think its pretty great, at 16 you were probably more worried about sagging your pants, with a camo hat sideways, and leaning back in your rusted 77 chebby pickup blasting eminem that doing something useful with your time.

Nothing about that coupe is a turd. The things you listed are all normal problems to have with a car like that, and BELIEVE me, there are more problems with that high mileage hatch than you realize. You'll have it for a couple months and you'll be kicking yourself for ever letting that coupe go. You've got a damn nice coupe there, just keep plugging away at it and someday it will be mint.

Now, I don't believe you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, but you were definitely raised in a much better "car guy" situation than most people here or otherwise, and you're probably going to encounter some resentment from time to time until you're a little older. Hell, when I was your age, I worked full time too, but I was not even allowed to own a Mustang, much less given the opportunity and resources to build what you've got there, so I'd be lying if I said I'm not a little envious!

That said, zearchyo is definitely out of line. No need for personal attacks like that, and it definitely says a thing or two about his character.
