Should I trade my Performer intake for a TFS Street?

I know a guy that is parting out his 5.0 and he has a Trick Flow Street Intake and a 75MM Accufab TB. I have a Edelbrock Performer Intake and a Accufab 70MM TB. With my combo, what would happen if I swapped intakes? What about intakes and TB's?

The ports on the lower of the TFS are definatly larger, but would all I do is loose velosity. Low end TQ isn't my concern, but power above 3500rpm's. It has a nice design, but the upper design isn't that impressive. It has a large peice of casting that comes in right after the TB opening, which is a 75mm opening. AFR recomends the Edelbrock Intake, is there a reason for this?

just a question, if you swap out the edelbrock....how much would you sell it for if you did?

I would keep the Eldebrock if I were you.

I think I'll keep the Edelbrock, that was my gut feeling anyways. I'd like to upgrade to a RPM, and the upper alone is $300, the whole intake is $500, or the RPM II for $600, I'll think about selling it. I like it too much so far. There is a machine shop right down the road from me that specailizes in porting. I don't know how much the guy wants for his TFS Street but if you contact me, I will PM you his number, I'm sure he'll give you a great price.

To be honest, I wouldn't think it would be worth the effort of swapping intakes to go to the TFS intake. They're both great intakes, but neither definitively really blows the other away from what I've seen. In the Edelbrocks favor, it is just a pure dead-sexy intake

All the tests between I've seen between the two put the edelbrock performer on top of the street heat in a NA application. They make similar peak power, but the edelbrock makes better torque in the low to mid rpm's. Therefore you will go slower by switching to a street heat.
