I have a possible deal with a fellow member of my Mustang Club to trade my SLP Loudmouth's for his Flowmaster am thunder's- my SLP's are the straight pipe variety and I would be getting his Flowmaster's w/ mufflers- I have a Magnaflow off-road X and am trying to quiet her down a bit- would you make this trade??? Why or why not? Thanks in advance for all advice...

I have the Loudmouth II and it sounds incredible. Huge difference between the LM I. Used to have Flowmasters and these definitely sound a lot better.

Everyone has SLP. To answer your question IMO yea I would make the trade I'm with Mity I think SLP sounds like ass. Yes it will quiet it down quite a bit.

wow, that guy you're trading with is getting one hell of a deal

trading his old, rusting flowmaster c/b for a top of the line stainless steel c/b

btw, you do know the slp is modular right? just buy quieter slp mufflers and put them in

I personally would trade, just because SLP's just don't sound right at all on a mustang, I don't care what people say, in person or on clips I wouldn't waste my money. Get magnaflows or borla if you want the same quality, but i'd take flows over SLP any day, just my 2 cents.

Ive had both, currently have the SLP 1 with an o/r x/ Will be switching back to Flow AT catback with dr. gas o/r x when I get some money. I know switching that o/r x would help, I know, Ive had the PC on it, sounded decent. True, everyone has flows, but its bc they sound aweosme. That, and the MAC flowpaths.

I agree with this on one point, I didn't care what people said when I went with SLP Loudmouths when they first came out. Glad I didn't care, because I wouldn't want anything less now.

if you want to quiet it down take the o/r x off, no question about that. my lm is incredible love the sound, alot cheaper then my previous bassani on the 98, which had catback and x pipe, my slp is just as loud with just the cb. flows are also an incredible sound, my cousins flows with o/r x was alot louder then my slp or bassani, maybe even put together! flows on the other hand are not near the quality of the slp, or almost ne other out there, just my thoughts

Do whatever you want, as this is a very subjective issue, case dependent on the driver's tastes.

I would just suggest you don't trade down in cost figures and quality attributes on the parts in question. My 2 cents.

I know if i went to a quieter setup i would miss having a loud exhaust sometimes. So im gonna get some quieter mufllers and cutouts welded in before the mufflers so it can be loud as **** when i want it to be
