actually i said if you dont have one then show me what you have.
" try and find them in the 96-98 bodystyle since thats the year i have but if you cant then post up anything else. " haha but yeah id PREFER it in my bodystyle so i can see what it would look like. Bigchief, nasty look. i love it. im really thinking about painting one if i get one. but then again i was looking into the saleen kit....... i couldnt stop drooling but i dont have over a grand to drop into that so i think a painted mach 1 chin spoiler will do till i can get the bodykit.

Beat me to it.

Well, since you don't seem to be getting many responses and you did say (as you were reminded) "post up anything else".... So here's some recent pics of my stang with the same body style as yours, but keeping the chin spoiler the natural black. For me, if I were to go through the trouble of having a body shop paint a spoiler, I would go the route of installing a full Cobra front bumper. Plus if the chin spoiler were painted, I would be always afraid of scraping on driveways and parking space front curbs. Hope the pics help in some way though, and gl with your decision.

where did you get yours? I emailed the guy at MustangTuning.com and he said they will have a new stock in september sometime but thats the only place ive seen them. is it made for our year or did you buy a 99+ and just custom fit it? let me know the details so i can have a basis on what ima have to do. other than that even though its not painted, your car looks nice. i like it.

Chins on the 94-98 bodys look wierd just because of the rounded body styling. in one of those pics you can see a gap between the bumper and chin. They look better on the 99-04s because of the defined lines.

:nice: +1 for being unique

There's two methods on putting these on. Either you line up the tail end with the wheel well(as the Mach 1's have stock) and have a small lip in the front. Or you flush it out to the front of the bumper and have a gap in the back.

Both ways can be done on either models. There is no difference in the fitment. Take a closer look at Ambo's, there's a nice gap between the fenderwell and spoiler. Still looks great though.

That gap you see was two items. One is that the burrs weren't all cleaned out between the chin and bumper and that I didn't have enough push pins when I first put it on - when this pic was taken. I have since corrected and it fits absolutely flush. No gaps.
