Did these ever get looser over time? I'm installing mine and same deal here. Seems like it's getting pinched where the window runs up near the side mirror.
Window has another 1/4 inch to go...seems like it's getting pinched or my window motor doesn't have enough power. I watched the 5.0 resto video they make it look easier than it is.

Thanks for the help guess ill keep at it. If I get a solution I'll let you know. Seems like a lot of this restoration stuff for our cars are garbage. No need for me to spend 4 hours on a run channel seal. Lol. I opened up the metal trim a little bit. Used silicone grease...BAD IDEA just made a mess. Besides that it looks really nice from the outside.
I was thinking my window motor dosent have enough power. In that 5.0 resto video they said they replaced the motor. I did my passenger side years ago and faintly recall a high torque window
motor. I might look into this. I do not have AC so I need my windows work. I can hold the window back from coming up with minimal force.

Mine are still tight too, especially the passenger window. As the passenger window rolls up it tilts forward when it's about halfway up. This causes it to not seal 100% at the top rear portion of the window and so I get some whistling.
I'm not sure if it's a function of the replacement window run channels or a worn out window guide bushing/whatever bushing holds the window in place. Both window motors are new though (~6 months old) so I know that's not the problem. I've soaked it in lithium grease as well with no help.

I got it a lot closer to going to up completely. I've been trimming the back and sides of the rubber which is kinda a PITA. Reson for this it to open up the felt some more where the window goes up; Pinch it less. Like Gerabanger mentioned he was going to try.
New window bushings. New glass bushings. Just a bad run channel design. I'll prolly leave the passenger side alone.
Still a little bit more trimming and I should be OK. Just wanted to give a update and maybe a soution when the next guy pulls his hair out over this.
