not true....as long as your 16 with a valid drivers licence you can drive them as long as there not leaving the car lot.

It depends on the insurance. I've never seen any insurance company that would insure a 16yr old employee who would be driving the cars, even if they were only being driven in the parking lot. But that doesn't mean that some don't do it.

what i was told during the interview was that if i was to get this position i would have to show proof of insurance, valid drivers licence, and a parents approval for the job because of the fact i would be driving company cars.
 
I worked as a porter when I was 17 and was allowed to drive cars, but like Ryan noted, I needed parental consent. I was even allowed to drive people home if they lived locally and were dropping a car off for service.
