A friend has a 97 GT and has been using an adjustable wrench due to not having the correct size box wrench. He has now rounded off the plug and had to buy a new one. Once again, he went to use his adjustable wrench and I told him to go buy the correct size but I do not know if that is the same as my 1993 or not. Anyone?

I thought mine was the same size as the plug replacement... 5/8" But here in my new house I don't have my specs written on the wall... thanks to the flake I just divorced. I'm pretty certain it's SAE and not metric.

it's a 16mm. and tell your friend too leave the adjustable wrench in the toolbox when working on his car.. adjustable wrenches are awsome for rounding off bolts. esp. if you lack skills.

Take old plug to AZ or Napa and just make sure the threads match up. The local Ford dealer prob. has hem too. It is 16mm but 5/8 will work too. The threads are most important.
