I just got the stang back from the dyno and I have a few issues with the steering I need help on. Its a 90gt and when I start it up the engine has so much torque at idle that it bangs into the steering shaft. Will poly. motor mounts fix this problem? Also what about a torque link from the head to the frame. If I pull it into the garage the wheel is really sloppy(alot of free play in it). I know the bangin feeling that I have is the shaft hitting the header. Is there any tricks to keep it from hitting the header and also tighting up the steering in it.

It has a tube k-memeber, new pump, off set bushings, flaming river shaft.
Dont want to dent the headers they are on the car now and they are ceramic coated. please help
Wont be a daily driver but will be driven on nice days as long as gas doesnt run me broke...

+1 on motor mounts. Just how much torque are we tlkin here? IT better be like 600 pounds if your saying that you have so much torque at idle its twisting motor mounts in good shape lol

okay maybe so much torque was the wrong word. It has a big cam in it and at idle the engine shakes badly. the motor mounts are new but just stock replacements. Do poly. mounts make it a rough ride or is it bearable as compared to soild mounts. What about the freeplay Im having in the steering wheel. The shaft is a u-jonit solid piece that bolts directly to the rack.
