I am looking for the loudest rowdiest exhaust note without touching anything upstream of the mufflers. I checked out videos on the interw3b and it looks like the SLP Loudmouths are the loudest. Is this correct?

I don't really want to tear into my factory cats or H-pipe unless they start to completely rust out (T-409 will take maybe 5-15 years to rust out).

I've only heard the Bassani's and stock mufflers in person, and the owner of the GT with the Bassani's had an off-road x-pipe, so that skewed the results a little. The stock 05-up GTs sound as tame as any factory Ford V8.

I like and wouldn't mind lots of drone at 1500-2000 RPM. The drone reminds me why I bought a V8 in the first place.

So, what are the loudest mufflers to get for an otherwise stock GT?

I was in your shoes too, Metroplex. I listened to a few sound clips and decided on a set myself.

Is there still a problem with the welds on the tips rusting off?
