when i bought my car the smog was disconnected but everything still there. the line is still hooked to the back of the head and all, the one that runs to the exhaust is bent over, but thats it, should i cap off the other lines???

There's really no harm in taking off the smog equipment if you have an o/r mid-pipe (didn't look to see if you did or not). The only thing it does is pump oxygen to the catalytic converters to help burn leftover fuel. Since you said the pipe running the exhaust is bent over, you might as well finish the job. That's weight savings too. Good luck

yes, i have an o/r h pipe(no cats) and just unsure about the one coming from the back of the head that runs to the smog pump. it seems like it should be bent over as well, right?

Generally people take those pipes off (there are two, one running to the back of each head) and put a plug in there. You can buy these plugs anywhere, I bought mine on summit when I ordered my head gaskets and other misc. stuff (then found out my heads came with them :bang:). They are 5/8". Then you can take the pump and all the pipes completely off.
