Smog passageway on heads

I know the smog pipe hooks up the back of the heads where there are two holes. On my TW heads though, there is a hole on each side of the head. Is the front one used for something else, like mounting the brackets on? I haven't looked at the stock heads to see if they have holes in the front too.

Yep, the front is used for the accessory brackets. You'll need to install the thread reducer fittings included with the heads. Use antiseize on the threads.

I figured as much. Good thing I bought two more to plug the back ones with. Thanks!

on the afr's you can put them on either side of the motor but you have to plug the front holes. once you do that then they should be one side specific.
