smog pump and inspection

I got some long tubes and x pipe installed a while ago, the shop that did the install remove my smog pump said that it not really needed. Well now it's time for inspection and I don't know if it will pass with out a smog pump. So will It be ok and should pass with out a smog pump or should it be reinstalled.

Do they have visual inspections there? Do you have cat converters?

The shop really should not have removed an emission device.
