A friend of mine was curious...when removing the pump what else is removed with it? is there any electrical that is unplugged, if so are there any check engine problems with that? Need all the info I can get thanks.

Nothing electrical. You will have a few hoses to cork up, which will be self evident when you pull it out. No biggie.
