Take pice of string and wrap around your pulleys just as the belt would lay. Measure the string and subtract 3/4 inch if you go under the tensioner. Subtract nothing if you go over the tensioner. Go to the parts store and tell em what you need.

Everyone I've heard talking about this uses an 84.5 inch belt. I haven't done it to my car yet though. So you need a 6 rib 84 and a half inch belt.

There are two different ways you can mount the belt and still have all the pulleys turning the same way.

A good rule of thumb when running your belt. If the pulley has grooves on it then the groove side of the belt should be on it. If the pulley is smooth (ie. Waterpump Pulley) then the smooth side of the belt should be riding on it. This is a way you can make sure the pullies are spinning in the correct direction.
The diagram is the correct way if you bypass the smog pump. It is a better way of running the belt as it gives the tensoiner and belt more clearence.

shouldent you run the belt the same way but just skipp the smog pump because i have ac and a tensioner so i was going to run the belt like stock but no on the smog pump pullie make sense to do it like this? is this way wrong should i just do it like the digram. i also am gonna run my underdrives on it so the belt shouldnt change because i used my stock belt on my other car. but i didnt bypass the smog when the under drives go on should i use a shorter belt than the 84.5 then

NO. Because when you bypass the smogpump and try to run the belt the same way as stock the belt it comes very close to touching itself. Just follow the diagram and you will be ok and your accesories will be spinning the right way.

Yeah I have underdrive pullies (not sure which ones...the previous owner did them)...I have my smog pump bypassed...I guess I could take my old belt into NAPA and they could get me one that matches?
