Smog stuff and the pipe that goes down to the h pipe question.

I tore the stuff out of my old 90 notch when I added the h pipe and headers.
Will the computer on our cars give me crap if I do it to my 95 auto.? I hear the comps. are picky, thanx.

Yep, you'll get like a 311 and 314 - maybe more. That is, unless you have a custom chip tune or tuner device. Then you can disable it in the EEC.

no i never got any codes or any thing in my 94 when i did it.i have had no problems.

I removed my smog pump also, and just capped the line coming out of the X-pipe. I never had any codes show up.

I don't think that they are talking about the EGR, they are talking about the smog pump and lines associated with that.

Since I deleted my smog pump, I have had no drivability problems to speak of. Cleaning up the engine compartment is the best part of getting rid of the smog system.

The removal is good to keep some drag off the motor, clean up the bay, and of course take weight off of the front end.

Yep. Lower passenger side of your engine (serpentine belt runs under it, then to tensioner pulley, then alternator). Maybe yours has been removed, otherwise look closer! Also, there should be a 2 lines coming off of it running to the back of the heads and to your h-pipe. These lines pretty much run right on top of the pass. side header.
