I have a local guy selling a complete 95 mustang 8.8 rear with disc brakes, axles, ford racing posi and ford racing 410 gears for real cheap. I've been planning a cobra brake/ 5 lug swap for a while now and have been gathering parts. I already have cobra calipers w/ brand new pads and rotors. If I buy the rear and swap it into my car what will I need to install the cobra brakes on the new rear. Also will the brake lines on the sn axle work with the fox lines? What other issues should I be aware of? This looks like it could possibly be a good deal for me.

The only difference in regular brakes and the cobra's are the vented rotors.
If you want to use your new rotors, you will need to put the cobra calipers on because they are opened up wider for the vents.

Just remember, 94+rears are wider, so you must have the rims and tires to accommadate that.

do yourself a favor and get the north racecar brackets and stick with fox length axles. wheel choices with 94+ axles are severely limited

+1, and NRC sells most everything (in kit form) you need to make the swap completely effortless. I'm in the midst of a 5 lug swap myself, and I went with NRC. Great company and great products.

I had originally thought about using the SN95 parts myself, but with wheel selection and flipping brackets to make things fit you just cant beat the North Race Car kits. gonna cost, but you have the peace of mind that you have everything you will need and that it will bolt right up.

The Axle Housing up to 1998 is Exactly the same so everything will match up and bolt up. The Axles are .75" wider per side but these are the same axles Ford gives you in the M-2300-K Brake Kit. If you can get this 95 rear for a good price, then get it.

i used the hard lines from the sn95 stuff and had to move the t fitting over a little that conncects to the body up above the pumpkin. i can explain more if needed.

i also was in the middle of converting to 5 lug and decided to put cobra front brakes on, so i bought the rotors and calipers from latemodel. the only problem i've run into is i had to move the hard to softline bracket on the passenger side over a couple of inches and flip it upside down. the actual cobra kit tells you to move the bracket over two inches.

you will need to run the cobra master cyc and i switched the booster too for optimal performance
