So, the rear end housing in my 04 GT is bent. It's an 04 GT with ABS. Now, I know a 99-04 GT with ABS will bolt right in no problem and I know 94-98 will too but, with subtle differences. I can get a killer deal on a 98 GT rear with only 70,xxx miles on it. Would it be worth my time or should I just hold off until I find a 99-04 rear with ABS?

My 96 has abs.. ? At least there is a light for it.. ( It doesn't work..) I know it has sensors in the front, but haven't payed enough attention if there is any sensors in the back.. Could be set up differnt though, as the newer ones have traction control, right?

By how much? I picked up a used 94-98 today with 70,xxx miles for $100 today out of an all stock/unmolested GT. I guess I can measure the differences tomorrow at the shop since I will have both rear ends there. Worst case, I can use some small wheel spacers for the street since I only drive 4-10 miles a day or, I could sell it and make some money to go buy a 99-04. Ugh, when it rains it pours sometimes.

Yeah, $100. Plus, since I have less than 1000 miles on everything, the place I bought the parts from is going to warranty out the master install kit. So, All I'm out is the $100, gear lube, and my time to re do the rear end.

Basically, what happened is that the shop that I tried to save some time with and set my ring and pinion while I took care of my cutomers told me my rear was bad, had me buy another one, and installed a junk one while keeping my old one and the used one I brought them only to take those 2 to re sell to other customers.

Aaaaanyways , is it doesn't measure out, I'll run wheel spacers and longer wheel studs, or get the wheels spacers that bolt on.
