Snapped a few pictures of my car after the upgrades

I took the car out and got a couple pics before it started to rain, then I got a couple of pictures while it was raining.
I've had the car for going on 4 years, and this is the first year I did something for the exterior, so I thought I would show it off a little.

So far the upgrades for the year are a PA Racing K-Member and A-Arms, Strange adjustable Shocks front and rear, Coilovers with 14" 175lb Afco Springs. HPM Caster Camber Plates, Electric Water Pump, Fluidyne Radiator, smoked headlights, corners, foglights, and some Corbeau A4 seats.

Still in the garage to do yet is a MM rollbar and subframe connectors, McLeod steel bellhousing, Corbeau 5pt harness's, Superior 31 spline axles, Eaton Posi, and a Ford Racing girdle

I found a pretty cool spot for some pics on some of the back roads.

Here are a couple of pictures after the rain started coming down.

And here is a picture under the hood. It really isn't too much to look at under there, but it gets the job done.

Man talk about a sleeper.

The underhood shot is awesome. The car looks good too. All you need are some new wheels. And I have the same headlights. Good choice.

Got a quick question for ya. How are your Strange 10way struts sounding? I have a rattling noise from the front end and believe it is the struts.

Please help - I'm finishing my Snow Meth kit install and I would like to know where you pulled the 12V source and how you tapped into it...

I will also be using the underhood fuse box to mount my controller, so I was hoping to use the rear window defrost circuit. I'm just not sure how to tap the fuse box. Can you take apart the box and tap into the main wire?

im curious cause im going similar route (trickflow + s-trim, already have the TF installed)

I am pretty happy with mine. They don't make any noise just cruising around, but I have heard just a little bit of noise if I hit a certain kind of bump at high speed.
When I put mine together I put some tape (can't remember if it is Tin or Aluminum tape) around the body of the strut. Then I put he collar over that. It took all the space from between the two so it wouldn't move.
I know I read about it somewhere. I'll look and see if I can find the thread.

On mine I used the stud on the side of the fuse box to supply the main power for the pump. I crimped a large ring connector on the wire to make it easy.
Then for the +12 key on source for the controller, I ran a wire into the cabin, and tapped into a wire off of that fuse box. I am not too sure which wire I used. I just started checking different spots with a volt meter till I found one that had power with the key on, and none with the key off.

My stock street tires are junk. They are pretty worn out right now. 1st and 2nd gear are pretty much a joke at anything over half throttle. I am waiting on my new 03 Cobra rims to show up, so that I can actually put a tire under there with a little meat on it.

When I went to the track last year, I had a set of used black steel wheels with a set of used 28/12.50/15 Mickey Thompson ET Streets. I wish that I had some track vids of it, but last year I didn't have anyone there to record for me. When I get my rollbar in the car, I have a camera mount to go in there, so I should be able to record myself this year.

I am liking the T-56 a lot. It shifts nice, and hasn't caused me any problems over the last year. It is nice having the double overdrive on the interstate. I can shift to 6th, and only turn about 1800 RPM at 75. I just need to figure out how to launch at the track with it. Last year I had a best 60' time of a 1.80. But I was being a little tame with it since I still had the stock 28 spline axles in it.

All in all I am really happy with my combination so far. It puts down good power and is really fun to drive.
Now I just need to ditch the stock block and go with a DART stroker. (next year)

That would be great. I know when I did a search about this rattling that other Mustangers had this problem.

I put black electrical tape around the piston, just below the threads, and could barely get the dust cover and spacers installed. I still have rattling.

When you say you put tape around the "body of the strut" do you mean the large black part of the strut? Maybe I am missing something here

Oops, my bad. When I was writing up my post, for some reason I was thinking about my coilover setup. Because I know a lot of people have had some noise issues with it. I was thinking you had coilovers also. Sorry for the confusion.

Now that I am on the same page, as far as the just the strut goes, I haven't noticed any noise from them.
I did wrap a little of that tape that I used around the piston below the threads like you did too. It made it tough to get the spacers on for the Caster/Camber plates, but it seemed like it worked OK for me.
The first time I took it for a spin, I did have the one nut on the top of the strut get a little loose, and it made a little noise for me over bumps, but since that they have been OK.

What setting do you have your struts set at? I set mine at 5 initially, but haven't tried any of the other settings yet.

I usually cruise around with a setting of 3 on all four corners.
At the track I put the fronts on the softest, fully counterclockwise, and the rears between 7-10 depending on track prep.

Wow. 11.6. And the car looks nearly completely freagin stock. Who have you suprised with it? Wgat kinds of cars? what were their reactions? (on a closed course of course).

I used to get takers when the car actually was almost stock. But since I have done all this stuff to it, I never seem to get anyone near me that wants to run em.

I have my idle set on the car at about about 790 - 800. It rocks the car a little bit, and has a healthy lope to it. I mostly get people giving me the thumbs up without wanting to do anything. That is OK by me. I seem to get caught anytime I try screwing around anyway. Last year I got a ticket for unreasonable acceleration. That was kind of a new one on me.

I have had quite a few comments when I am at the track. A lot of "whoa, that is a lot faster than it looks." remarks.
