I finally got all my new parts installed (Performer RPM heads, Hooker LT's, Comp Cams cam, Magnum Roller rockers). Just got a new 4 core radiator too b/c my old one sprung a bad leak and was deemed un-fixable. Anyway, went to pressure test the radiator to see if I had any other coolant leaks before firing the car up and she was leaking pretty bad. Gotta get a new timing chain cover and decided to replace the water pump also and get a new high-volume one.
Long story short, I've been so excited all week to get the new set-up up and running (actually been waiting since January for summer vacation to roll around when I could go back home and have sufficient time and funds to do the project). We were so close (my dad's helping me). What a dissapointment
Just felt like venting a little.
But no biggie, we should have the new parts by Tuesday from Summit and installed that same evening.
My car doesn't sound too shabby now with the Flowmaster Mufflers and Edelbrock carb (sounds meaner than the Holley one I used to have on it).
The addition of the new heads and headers over the crappy stock exhaust manifold should really make it sound like a beast.
The PO put a license plate frame on it that I decided to leave on. It reads "If its to loud your to old" (I'm aware that it's not grammatically correct, even before people started pointing that out, lol)
The car should really deserve that license plate frame now
